Emma Raducanu wraps up her season and plans to retain her coach for 2026.
Raducanu advanced to round three in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slam events during the season.
Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has pulled out of the last two tournaments of the year as a result of a health issue she has been fighting for the last week and a half.
The 22-year-old was due to play in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but opted to return home to rest and recuperate ahead of launching her preparations for 2026.
Her upcoming training will include trainer Francisco Roig, as they have agreed to work together in 2026.
Raducanu required blood pressure checks while playing the initial match against Ann Li in Wuhan last week and withdrew when behind 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.
She again required medical attention at this week's Ningbo Open, where she fell in a three-set match to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in round one.
Her movement was noticeably restricted in the final set in the match with Zhu owing to the lower back problem that has affected her during parts of the season.
These outcomes meant an encouraging season, in which Raducanu rose into the top 30 globally for the first time in more than three years, concluded with three straight losses.
The athlete was close to victory with three match points prior to falling to Jessica Pegula in the third stage in Beijing last month.

The British number one reached the quarter-finals of the WTA 1000 event, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro en route prior to a loss in a three-set match to the world number four Pegula.
Her coach was Mark Petchey between Miami and Wimbledon, with Roig taking over ahead of the US Open.
The original arrangement with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was for the remainder of the year but the collaboration persists, with planned training sessions in the coming months.
The athlete revealed that a three-day test period with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as the meeting was kept under wraps.
The player was close to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati during August.
Roig joined her in the New York tournament, where she made the third stage prior to losing to Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner.
