Barça Ready for First Match at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga over two years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present under the licence granted. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht next month at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
